To 5th Stage of IFWA Freeride World Championship
Tour happened of 19 to October 21, 2007 in California / USA. Check the
results!
The world championship of jet-ski in waves, IFWA World Championship
2007 finished with a gold key, sun and high waves about 3 meters, the
pilots provided a show of radical maneuvers during to 5th and last stage,
in the city of Pismo, California during Hydro Turf - Surf Slam.
In the category stand-up, the winner was a local pilot,
the north American Taylor Curts, followed by French Pierre Maixent and
of German Marc Sikerling.
Already in the sit-down, Jimmy Visser that had already
won the 4 previous stages, confirmed his favoritism also winning that
last stage, followed by the American Eddie Betancourt and the Portuguese
Luís Silva.
The Brazilians Ivo Sehn and André Martins had
theirs performances harmed in function of the rented equipments, that
presented problems and left the pilots out of the competition.
Another Brazilian pilot, Leandro Vieira, in spite of
not having participated in the stage, finished the tour in for 3a. placement
in the sit-down.
The tour 2008 begins in Europe in April, following the
tradition Portugal, Spain and France, proceeds in September in Brazil,
the Jet Waves that is Brazilian stage will complete 10 years, and finishes
again in October in United States. Tests extras are foreseen during
the year in Bali and Morocco.
