Jet Waves's ninth edition, Brazilian stage of the
World Championship of Freeride (jet ski in waves), it happens of 7 to
September 9, 2007, in Itajaí, Santa Catarina. Check who already
arrived!
The fourth stage of the World Championship of Freeride (maneuvers of
jet ski in the waves), 9th Jet Waves, that it will be accomplished in
this weekend, between the 7 and September 9 in the Brave beach in Itajaí,
begins to receive the first foreign competitors.
The leader of the category Sit-down (seated Jet) Jimmy
Visser is already in Florianópolis and he took advantage of to
have his first contact with the water during last weekend. Jimmy came
accompanied of other south-African one, Jeremy Philipis that will run
in Stand-up (Jet in foot). Jimmy is very optimistic in maintaining the
hegemony of eight victories in Jet Waves' eight editions. "I want
to maintain the invincibility and that I have been workout a lot",
commented Jimmy that leads the World Championship with 75 points, because
he won the three stages up to now accomplished. Jeremy will already
participate only of Jet Waves because it finds the most competitive
stage of the world.
Another foreigner that is also already in Florianópolis
is German Arkadius Schramek that used for the first time in the World
this year and he has been making good tests. He participated of the
three tests of the world in Europe and comes to Brazil in search of
larger experience in the modality.
The 9th Jet Waves begins on this Friday, September 7
with the free trainings in the Brave beach for the morning. In the afternoon
already they begin the pre-classificatory tests. In Saturday and Sunday
the batteries will be accomplished. On Saturday in the afternoon a competition
of jumps will be accomplished and at night the party of the girl's Jet
Waves choice.
9th Jet Waves has patronage of Malwee, Yamaha and Klabin.
