> 9th Jet Waves World Championship 2007 - Pierre Maixent
09/21/2007
It happened of 7 to September 9, 2007, 9 Jet Waves
World Championship, in the beach of the Brave, in Itajai/SC. Checks
the interview with pilot Pierre Maixert, champion in the category Stand
Up and 2nd in the category Sit Down!

Pierre Maixert was with great expectations about the Brazilian Stage
of 9th Jet Waves, even so he just doesn't know as he will do in the
weekend, because his jet-ski didn't arrive on time for the competition.
Then, he caught a borrowed jet-ski, "but it is not like our own
jet, it is very different, I will ride as a beginner, but I will try
to do my best and see what happens".
This pilot 27 years old, said feel very well here, "I
love Brazil", he affirms. Dazzled with the Brave beach, he comments
to adore everything here in Brazil, the waves, the weather, the people,
everything.
This French one says to have certainty that this beach
was a great choice, for the waves, and for the place. "This beach
is fantastic!" he comments, therefore is close to Itajaí
and Camboriu, cities that he liked a lot and where he could make a great
show for lots of people that were at the beach this weekend.
In Pierre's opinion, the stage accomplished in the weekend
that passed went to best, perhaps even better than Friday and the seventh
stages accomplished in Imbituba.
Pierre also went to the last battery against the French
Gil Beurnier very concentrated and gave a big show to everyone that
were at the Brave beach worthy of one of the best freeriders of the
history of the jet-ski world. In to final Pierre was very luck, because
Gil's jet had problem, then when leaving of the water it was not necessary
to hear the final result, because everybody already knew who was the
champion.

Besides the victory in the category stand up, he won
the second place in the category sit down, against the south african
Jimmy Visser. This victory in the Brazilian Stage went an important
step to the conquest of the world title 2007. With this points conquered
here, Pierre is going for next stage with 19 advantage points on the
pilots tied in the second placement, Gil Beurnier and Ross Champion.
