It happened of 7 to September 9, 2007, 9 Jet Waves World Championship, in the beach of the Brave, in Itajai/SC. Check the interview with pilot Jimmy Visser, champion of the category sit down!

Jimmy Visser, eight times world champion of the category sit down, won the ninth title in Santa Catarina, in the beach of the Brave. He just entered in the water on Sunday, because he was already classified. "I feel very satisfied of being here in Brazil, and the beach is the best so far", he comments.

This south-African one says that liked the position a lot, of the nature near the beach, without many hotels, the city is very cleans and pretty. "The waves are fantastic, they are the best ones than we had of all the Jet Waves ".

"My preparation for the championship was not good", he affirms. Last Saturday he trained in Barra da Lagoa and hurted his leg, ever since he didn't workout more. He counts that was not serious, but that delays one week to improve.

He participated for the first time at Jet Waves in 2000 and ever since this won all, except in 2003, when his son James Visse won the first place and he the second. "For the competition I hope to arrive in the finals, because when the next stage comes I just have to ride and I will already be the world champion", he affirms.

For him the organization was great, Portugal is in first place in this inquiry, but Brazil, with certainty, in second. With relationship to the competitors, of the class 'stand up' the competitors are great, but in his category, 'sit down', he comments to be very worried, because don't exist many competitors. "When I began in 2000 I tried to do with that the class was larger, but I think won't become so early, because he doesn't have competitors with high level", he stands out.

With relationship to who wants to begin he advises, "if you like to ride jet-ski and you train, you will become a good rider, but this takes some time, it is important to like than what you do".

Jimmy concludes the interview saying that is liking a lot to ride here in Brazil, because on this year he has good waves to ride, good weather and all the people are friendly and I am having a too much fun in Brazil.
