It happened of 7 to September 9, 2007, 9th Jet
Waves World Championship, in the beach of the Brave, in Itajai/SC. Check
the interview with the competitor Jeremy Phillips!

Jeremy Phillips is 33 years old and he said feels very well participating
in Jet Waves, because this ninth edition is replete of good waves. In
his opinion the beach of the Brave was very well chosen, because it
is a great place and still gathers very good people. "I feel very
well in being here in Brazil, this is my fourth time here and the first
time in the Balneário Camboriu".
This South-African said that have been training a lot,
besides this practicing moitai, boxing and "I have not been making
a lot of party, and now I will see what happens", he laughs. The
trainings happen in the city where he lives, in South Africa, where
he has many pretty beaches and practice with some friends.
What he is waiting of this championship is anything
less than the first place. This is his first event in this tour, "I
have not been competing, but I came for fun, only to come to Brazil
", he comments. Jeremy liked the beach and the good waves in the
time in that he was here, he liked the climate and of the weather.
As well as most of the foreigners, for him the beach
of the Brave is fantastic, with city on a side, nature of the other
and good girls. With relationship at the other competitors' level, he
says be very high. "This will be very hard, the competitors are
very good, like Ross Champion, but I'm here just for fun".
The pilot concludes saying that will see how he does
here in this stage in Brazil and later he will solve if he will go or
not for the next phase. Jeremy finished the championship in the third
placement in the category "stand up".
