> Bruno Jacob in the 9th Jet Waves

Bruno Carvalho Batista Jacob will be one of the competitors of 9° Jet Waves Championship, that will happen in the 07, 08 and September 09, 2007, in Itajaí, Santa Catarina. Check his interview!

Bruno Carvalho Batista Jacob is 20 years old and lives in Salvador, and impassioned by Jet Ski. For him, to participate in the tests is always a very good experience, since he makes new friends, knows new places, new people.

His motivation to participate in the championships went to search for experience and the pleasure from being making that he likes: ride jet ski. For him, the level of the tests in Brazil is very high and has been growing to every year. On his category he says: "Now I am in the category Stand Professional Up of Freeride, but I always was pilot of Freestyle, category that already went Champion Brazilian Amateur".

Bruno is in the jet skis' world since three years ago, and this is the first year in Jet Waves. His largest difficulty, as the one of many athlets, is to get sponsorship. He always training alone, what is not the best choice, but in the moment is the only. The place of the trainings is the beach of located Ipitanga in the city of Salvador, in the state of Bahia. He training, on the average, twice a week, for two hours. Besides, he makes swimming and muscular activity.

On as it was his beginning in the sport, Bruno counts: " I began for my father's incentive in 2003 and I participated of the last stage of the Championship From Bahia being in the sixth placement. After four months went to participate of the Brazilian Championship to win experience and to get the second position in the category amateur. In the other year, in 2004, it would be the Brazilian Champion with just 16 years of age, and of there in before I didn't stop any more".

To the total, he already participated of twelve championships and the most important is Jet Waves of that year. Even this moment the most important title than he won it was the Brazilian Championship Freestyle Amador. The largest incentivador of Bruno, in the search of new conquests is his father, that motivated him since the beginning.

For the safety he uses helmet and collect lifeguard, besides 'neopreno' clothes, that help to protect of the bruises. For who doesn't know the neopreno is the commercial name given to the synthetic material based on the polychloroprene of the family of the rubbers, that is an insulating one thermal and a material one very resistant.

He always had as jet ski, the Super Jet Yamaha, but nowadays he uses skull and modified motors. The modification in the jet skis was made to obtain larger revenues in the maneuvers or until executing some types that could not be executed with an original jet.

His largest objective is to arise in the world ranking being in a good placement in Jet Waves. For Bruno, the best level is always the high, because it is as soon as he wins more experience. "The radical of the maneuvers, the high adrenaline, the new friendships that I did and the new places that I knew", according to Bruno, those factors that got his attention in the sport were. Who prepares his jet ski for the competitions he is Jorge, that is mechanical of his father in the quadriciculos, that Bruno also practices.

"I hope to be the best of everybody, with great number of foreign and Brazilian pilots also. Who participated in the stages accomplished in Europe knows that the pilots' level in the World of this year is very strong and the show in Jet Waves will be the best", those are his expectations for that edition of Jet Waves.
