> Kevin Cullen and his life full of adventure
12/05/2006
Since 1997, canadian Kevin Cullen is
Journalist for Travel and Power Sports from PWCTV (Personal Watercraft
TV). He tells to INEMA team about his wonderful job.

He started in PWCTV after he had an idea with your friends:
"I went to the Lake one day here in Canada and said to my Friends...
I wish there was more on TV about this sport we love. A few weeks later
we shot a "demo" for PWCTV and took it to market. We got Air
Dates in Canada and then had the tuff task of Selling Sponsorship of
this new Program to the Industry and other potential interested parties",
says.
Today his job is to host the Program and to also arrange
all the locations we go to film the episodes of PWCTV. It's a program
about the Sport of PWC riding all over the World. "We cover Racing
and also go Touring all over the world as well." They produce three
different TV Series, PWCTV, Sledsense (snowmobile) and GRRTV a Racing
show for Kids.

Kevin and Jimbo
Cullen thinks the best thing about his job is all of
the friends he had been made all over the World: "I think after
10 years of doing this that I can say I know someone in almost every
country." And the worst part is travel through all the airports
and customs with all of their equipment. "The events I like to
go to are full on Racing and also the Freeriding events because are
tons of cool people and great action", completes.
He practices a lot of sports, too. "I practice
at home as well as all over the world. I am traveling almost seven months
of each year so I do not practice a home as much I used to. I love getting
to ride and do in new and exciting locations." In these years,
he traveled to over 130 places with PWCTV and many more with our other
Programs. "It seems that my favorite place is always the last place
we have been", believes.

Here in Brazil, he had been three times. "Brazilian
people are so nice and have a great sense of humor. I have seen a lot
of changes in the Florianopolis area over that time, it looks like the
country is really moving along. I will be back in November this year
for the Jet waves competition", plans.
After so many travel, when he's at home he loves to
spend time with his wife and dog. "It is always hard with a family
to travel as much as we do. We look at it like we always miss each other
and it is always a happy time when I am with them. But also all of my
new friends as we travel give me a family feeling while I am away as
well", says.

During his trips, the team always likes to laugh and
find funny things to do while is on the Road. "Over the years I
have had to dance a Hula Dance at a Luau in Hawaii in front of a 1000
people, fly on a trapeze in Mexico and dress and dance as a native dancer
in Bali", remembered. He affirms that these things are embarrassing
at the time but seem very funny afterwards.
Almost ten years after his begin, he says: "The
greatest challenge in my Career is keeping new and exciting locations
organized so we can continue to show the world the best things about
this Sport. We have made 130 episodes so far with many more to come."

Cullen finishes making some thanks: "I would like
to thank many people first all of the great athletes and event organizers
I have worked with over the years. The manufacturers of these very cool
machines as they have been the backbone of being able to have the funds
to make this program. The TV Channels we are on for all of there help
to get our program out there. As well as my Staff for the great job
they do. In addition the others sponsors like Tourism Bureaus and clothing
Sponsors have made us look great and stay at great hotels."
