of 8th Jet Waves, the Free Ride World Championship's last round. The
competition happens in Vila Beach, in Imbituba/SC. The rider Joe Kenney
from California/USA confirms his presence!
With 37 years old, Kenney started play with jet in the
80's: "My father bought two of them and I really liked it",
tells. Riding in the Stand Up class, your expectative about the 8th
Jet Waves are great. "It has grown every year!! I hope we have
good waves!" He wishes.

He starts to practice jet-ski because it was a lot of
fun and a good exercise. For him, Imbituba Beach, in Brazil is a great
surf spot: "I think we will have good surf." About the technical
level of other competitors, Kenney thinks that there are a lot of good
jumpers, but not that many good surf riders.
Your favorite maneuver is the most difficult, too: "I
like the surf riding. It's the hardest to do too. It is a lot like surfing
and really challenging", he explains. To take good grades, he thinks
that jumping is very important. "Judges have a hard time understanding
the difficulty of surf riding."

For this event, his preparation isn't so good: "A
lots of injuries, but that is normal for me", believes. Your relationship
with his opponents is good: "I'm not sure if they really like me,
but it doesn't matter for competition", Kenney says.
The rider thinks that ride big powerful waves are the
most incredible in this sport. He counts with the Blowsion Hydroturf
Yamaha's support. Kenney finishes thanking Tchello, IFWA's president:
"He makes this all happen!"
